Your chosen photograph is carefully prepared and engraved onto the front of the 20mm gold circle pendant, with the option to add text or a second photograph to the reverse.

Whether created as a piece of memorial jewellery, a remembrance gift or simply a keepsake of somebody you love, every necklace is individually prepared and engraved especially for you.

Beautiful photo engraving starts with careful preparation of the photograph.

With a background in professional photography and photo editing, Emma personally prepares every photograph before engraving to bring out the important details and achieve the best possible result from your image.

Gemz by Emz has specialised in engraving photographs onto jewellery since 2011, so don't worry if your photograph isn't perfect.

Older, faded or slightly damaged photographs can often still be used, and we can edit and restore images where appropriate before engraving. Not sure whether your photograph will work?

Send it to us before ordering and we'll happily check it for you free of charge.

Personalise the front and back

Your photograph can be engraved onto the front of the pendant, while the reverse can be personalised with:

  • A name
  • A special date
  • A short personal message
  • A second photograph for an additional £5

How do I take care of my jewellery?

Clean your jewellery using one of our cleaning cloths.

Remove before swimming, showering, exercising or sleeping.

Apply perfume, lotions and hairspray before putting on your jewellery.

Store separately in a dry pouch or jewellery box. An airtight bag can help reduce silver tarnishing.

Treat chains and clasps gently and avoid pulling or bending them.

Avoid wearing bracelets and bracelet charms at your office job - the charms can rub against the desk whilst typing and scratch the metal.

Do you have a warranty?

Yes! For 12 months from the date of purchase, we’ll take care of your product if any damage to the material occurs. Simply contact us and we’ll arrange a return and replacement.

Please note: This warranty does not cover lost items, scratches that come with normal wear and tear, improper use or storage of your product, and any modification to your product done by a third party.

Do you create custom pieces?

Yes absolutely! Infact many of our regular bestsellers were originally created as custom pieces for our customers. Please contact us and we will be happy to look into this for you.

Will my photograph be good enough?

Clear, high-resolution photographs usually produce the best results, but we can often work with older or less-than-perfect photographs too. You can view our engraving guidelines or send your photograph to us for a free check before ordering.

Can I send an old or damaged photograph?

Absolutely. We can edit and prepare older or damaged photographs before engraving and may be able to restore details to help achieve a better result.

Can you remove the background from my photograph?

Yes, where appropriate. We can remove distracting background details and carefully prepare the main subject before engraving.

Can I have a photograph on both sides?

Yes. Choose the photograph option for the reverse and upload your second image. A second photograph costs an additional £5.

Can you engrave handwriting instead?

Yes. We can engrave photographs, handwriting, fingerprints, paw prints, baby ultrasounds, handprints and other meaningful images.

How long will my necklace take?

Our current turnaround is 3 working days before dispatch. If you require your necklace sooner, please contact us before ordering and we'll let you know whether this is possible.

What if I need help choosing a photograph?

You're welcome to send us several photographs before ordering. We'll happily help you choose the image most suitable for engraving.

What if I can't upload my photograph?

Simply complete your order and email your photograph to info@gemzbyemz.co.uk afterwards with your order number.
