Choosing a fingerprint image
- Look for clearly separated ridges rather than a solid dark mark.
- Use the highest-quality original scan or photograph available.
- Photograph an existing print straight-on in even light, with no glare or shadows.
- If you have several prints, send them for advice before choosing one.
What if I do not already have a fingerprint?
If a funeral director or another professional holds a fingerprint for your loved one, ask whether they can provide a clear digital copy. If you are taking a new print yourself, make a few attempts with a suitable fingerprint kit and follow its instructions. Check that the ridge pattern is visible before uploading.
How much detail can fit?
The engraving area and the quality of the source print both affect the result. A fingerprint is scaled to fit the selected jewellery, so very fine or blurred detail may be less distinct. We can assess the image before you order.
Uploading and ordering
Select your jewellery and check its available engraving options. Upload your image in the relevant field, enter any requested text and check your choices before adding the item to your basket. For designs with multiple charms or engraving areas, explain clearly which image belongs where. Options and additional charges are shown on the product page.
