Choosing and photographing a scan
- Choose the scan with the clearest subject and visible contrast.
- Use the original digital image if you have it, or photograph the scan straight-on.
- Avoid glare on glossy scan paper, strong shadows and blurred photographs.
- Crop out personal medical information if you prefer, while keeping the part of the scan you want engraved.
Which part of the scan will be engraved?
The available engraving area affects the crop. Make your preferred subject clear when uploading and add a note if there is a particular part of the scan you want included. Ask for advice before ordering if the subject is difficult to distinguish.
Will it look exactly like the scan on screen?
The image is prepared for engraving on metal, so its appearance differs from a scan on paper or a backlit screen. The finished engraving catches the light and will not reproduce screen brightness or colour.
Uploading and ordering
Select your jewellery and check its available engraving options. Upload your image in the relevant field, enter any requested text and check your choices before adding the item to your basket.
